Once I knew this guy that I used to play golf with quite a bit. One day he was telling me about some problems he was having with his son. Apparently, his son wants to join a band, and take an acoustic guitar lesson to help him out. His father wants nothing of the sort. His dad, my friend, wants him to focus on his engineering and math studies, so he can get a decent degree. He doesn’t want him to end up like those people that hang out in front of Home Depot playing guitar and hope to get hired for parties and stuff. My friend wants his son to have a decent, well paying job.
