When my friend got made redundant, she was in her fifties and found it so difficult in getting back to work.  She looked at everything from tamworth sales job vacancies to working as a car park attendant!  It was so awful for her, she felt like giving up and got really depressed at the thought of being on her own and bringing up her teenage Daughter.  She had only just gone through a horrific divorce and she was so low I thought she would have a nervous breakdown!  Eventually she was asked to go to an interview for an office job where she got the job, she was so happy and it uplifted her so much.
