Staying at a hotel with a volcano right out the window for a view is something that I will not forget. Our vacation was different this year and I have told all of our friends about it. Next month I plan on taking my first vacation in close to 1 1/2 years. This past year and a half I’ve been very worried about my job so I never called in sick and always arrived on time. Lately things are better at work and I feel a little more secure in my job. My boss even said the other day” Leonard you ever take any time off”? Because of this I decided to try and find the finest Hawaii Luxury Resort. I have been to Hawaii one other time with my parents when I was 12 years old. I really liked the experience and I wanted to go back there. Maybe this time I’ll learn how to surf.

I had told my friends that I would organize a vehicle for them for when they arrived in NZ, just to help them out a little. I got one from car hire auckland airport which they could pick up from close to the airport and then drive straight down to where we live. It is their first time coming to our country and they are used to driving on the opposite side of the road so hopefully they will manage ok with that. They are flying in from the States but I know they have driven in the UK before so it shouldn’t be a completely new experience for them.

My wife and I have a lovely home thats located close to Lake Rotoiti.  Now that we have returned from one of the best vacations I have ever been on I wonder how in the world we managed to miss out on all the lake has to offer.  We rented one of the lovely Lake Rotoiti Holiday Homes that was situated right on the lake shore.  We were able to swim and water ski anytime we felt like it.  We spent several days hiking and every evening relaxing in front of the fireplace.  It only took us two hours to reach the lake house by car so I am sure we will do this again and again. 

As an anniversary gift, my husband bought us tickets for a vacation to New Zealand.  He knew that I have always wanted to travel there and decided to surprise me with the trip.  We will be gone for two whole weeks, which should give us plenty of time to enjoy seeing much of the country.  He’s taken responsibility for finding places to stay on the trip.  So far, he has booked us a room in a beautiful hotel in Wellington.  Now he is seeking just the right Auckland city accommodation.  He has read a lot of reviews and looked in guidebooks, but hasn’t found the right place just yet.

The one thing that I love the most about being in college is the different experiences I get to have. I travelled to Paris for two weeks with some of my friends so we could get a taste of French clothing design. We went to Barcelona for a week just to soak in the culture there. My next destination? I’m going to study abroad in germany and I can’t wait. I’ll be gone for about a month and I’m going to be completely immersed in the culture. My mother says that she’s proud of me for all the experience I’m getting.

While I was at my mother’s house the other day she mentioned to me that she wanted to go to Las Vegas.  I was interested in going too, so I asked her if she would mind if I tagged along.  She was more than happy to let me come with her and she even put me in charge of booking our Las Vegas flights and booking our hotel as well.  Now that our trip is only a few days away, I am getting more and more excited and am happy that I asked my mother if I could travel with her.
