If you are doing well on your diet 75-80% of the time, you are doing really well.
If you are on a do-it-yourself diet, it will be a little harder to measure your success, so I recommend that you find a good weight loss program that will suit your lifestyle. Then you will have a better idea of how well you are following the program. If you are falling below a 20% effort, just a quick pep talk should get you back on track and into the 75-80% zone.
