A new white bookcase is the final element of my new living room.  What a difference!  This room went from drab and dated to very sophisticated.  I changed the wall colors from white to a dark khaki color.  All the furniture is in light neutral colors and the new floor is a rich walnut.  To set the room off, the white of the white bookcase is a focal point against the darker khaki walls.  Everything is very minimalistic except for my collection of design books which are arranged by color in the bookcase.  The bright colors in the white bookcase creates a dramatic color pop in the soft neutral surroundings.
