A friend of mine came by the other day with a deck of cards I had never seen before. The cards had vivid images of creatures and scenery. I asked her what the cards were for. She said they were part of a game called Magic the Gathering. She explained to me that each player creates a deck of cards that include creatures, spells, and “mana” which activates the other cards. There are several types of cards that are broken up by color. I was so intrigued by the images on the cards, I begged her to teach me how to play!
