In Mormon history, a revelation was given that members of the church shouldn’t have hot drinks, which was defined as coffee and tea. I read that initially there was concern about no hot cocoa, but it is allowed. People don’t tend to drink cup after cup of hot chocolate. I also heard a rumor that in early mormon history, some people even thought chicken broth was not OK. I can’t imagine that. I should look it up and see where that rumor came from. I’m so grateful for hot chocolate. It gets me warm in the mornings and it’s been so cold.
