I had been diving for several years and felt comfortable in most diving situations.  When I started dating a new girl friend we were sharing our likes and dislikes when we discovered an alleged love for diving.  I was thrilled and immediately started making plans for us to do a scuba diving weekend together at a local dive spot.  The day before the dive I picked up the rental equipment and picked her up for the drive up.   The next morning we headed out in the boat and started to put on our equipment.  It was then she confessed that she had never been diving in her life and was even afraid to put her head under water.
