When ever there is a mention of West Virginia, the mention of Charleston is indispensable, Charleston being the capital state of WV. The city has its own importance other than being the capital; it is also the largest city of the Kanawha County. 

If you are planning to pay a visit to West Virginia ensure that you have enough time to spend in Charleston as well. Not only that the small city living would fascinate you but there are so many attractions that is a must to visit. The West Virginia State Capital is the epicenter of the WV government. The West Virginia Legislature offices and West Virginia Governor’s office is situated here as well as the Governor’s Mansion. The Ruffner Mansion or the Holly Grove Inn or alternatively known as Holly Grove Mansion is one of the historic houses that are located here. The building in 1974 was included in the list of National Register of Historic Places.

Things to do in West Virginia could be translated into a huge list however; a visit Charleston would have its own grace.
